We heal hearts, empower youth, and inspire communities — one rhythm at a time.
We combine artistry, research, education, compassion and outreach to make music a tool for personal and social transformation.
🎵 What We Do
we use the power of music to heal, empower, and inspire. We believe that music is more than sound — it’s a universal language that restores hope, strengthens minds, and builds community. Through our programs, we transform music into a practical tool for emotional healing, education, and social impact across Nigeria.
🎶 Our Core Work
1️⃣ Music Therapy for Adolescents
We provide music-based therapy sessions that help young people express emotions, manage stress, and recover from trauma. Using rhythm, melody, and guided creativity, we help adolescents rediscover confidence, calm, and joy.
2️⃣ Community Music Outreach
3️⃣ Youth Empowerment Workshops
4️⃣ Mental Health & Wellbeing Initiatives
5️⃣ Research & Training
Through the Episto-Musical Pedagogy, VMKonsult trains educators, therapists, and volunteers to use music as a tool for learning and healing.
We also document and share research that strengthens the understanding of music’s therapeutic role in Nigeria and beyond.
Our Story
Our journey began with one simple conviction: that every human being carries a song inside them, and when that song is heard, healing begins.
Founded by a Dr. Albert O. U. Authority, an established and an established researcher, a passionate music educator and mental-health advocate, Virtuoso Musique Konsult grew out of years of teaching, counselling, and seeing how music transforms lives.
Rooted in Episto-Musical Pedagogy, a transformative approach that weaves musical learning with emotional and spiritual growth, Virtuoso Musique Konsult Limited was founded to restore well-being through sound. We integrate Eco-Acoustic Healing, which draws on nature’s sonic landscapes to calm the nervous system and reconnect communities to their environment, with a Medical-Musicology Framework that applies evidence-based musical interventions to support mental health recovery. Our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where music becomes medicine, performance becomes personal growth, and creativity becomes a pathway to healing.
What started as a small community initiative has blossomed into a nationwide movement that reaches adolescents, families, and communities through workshops, therapy sessions, and outreach concerts across Nigeria and some African Nations.
Our Vision
A harmonious society where music restores hope, heals minds, unites families and empowers individuals.
We envision a Nigeria where every child and young adult has access to the healing through the potency of music, regardless of background or circumstance.
Our Mission
To use music as a frontline tool for emotional healing, youth empowerment, mental well-being, delivering early, culturally rooted interventions that ease anxiety, reduce stigma, lift depression, and mental illness, and restore harmony in communities.
We combine artistry, research, education, compassion and outreach to make music a tool for personal and social transformation.
Our Goals
Expand access to music-based therapy for adolescents and young adults.
Train community music facilitators across Nigerian states and beyond.
Establish a Music and Wellbeing Centre to serve as a hub for research, therapy, and outreach.
Partner with schools, hospitals, and NGOs to integrate music-for-healing programmes nationwide.
Support research and researchers, publish and share research on Eco-Acoustic Healing, Medical Musicology, and Episto-Musical Pedagogy to strengthen global understanding of music as medicine..
